Konexons is built by Sheltowee Network, Inc. The name, the philosophy, and even our AI agents all trace back to one frontier story about trust, guidance, and belonging.

The Founder

Alex Day

Founder & CEO, Sheltowee Network, Inc.

With an educational background in physics, mathematics, and the Russian language, Alex has walked the entrepreneurial path for over three decades and understands the importance of relationships. Having worked with innovators in biotech, alternative energy, and healthcare, he knows how important the right tools can be. He developed Konexons to help people nurture the relationships that matter most.

Konexons is founded and built by Alex Day.

The Name

Why Sheltowee?

Sheltowee, meaning "Big Turtle," was the name the Shawnee gave Daniel Boone when Chief Blackfish adopted him as a son in 1778. It marks the moment a frontiersman was welcomed into a people not his own and trusted as family.

Sheltowee Network takes its name from that idea: trust earned across a divide, and a network built on belonging. Sheltowee Network, Inc. is the company behind Konexons, working at the intersection of relationships, capital, and growth, and Konexons is the relationship system born from that work.

Daniel The Coach

Daniel Boone was the pathfinder of the frontier: the hunter and guide who blazed the trail through the Cumberland Gap and opened Kentucky. He led by going first, reading both the land and the people. That is the spirit of the Coach, the steady guide who walks ahead and helps you find your own path.

Rebecca The Steward

While Daniel ranged the wilderness for months at a time, Rebecca Boone held everything together: the homestead, the harvest, the family, the future. She is the reason there was something to come home to. Our Steward carries her name because keeping the foundation solid is what lets everyone else go far.

Simon The Scout

Simon Kenton scouted the country ahead of the settlers and, in one famous moment at Boonesborough, saved Daniel Boone's life under fire. The Scout is named for him: the one who goes out ahead, gathers what you need to know, and brings back intelligence that keeps you safe.

Sarah The Scribe

Sarah Day, the educated young Quaker who married into the Boone family, is remembered as the woman who taught Daniel Boone to read and write. Boone, who never went to school, became one of the few literate men on the frontier, and it started with her. Our Scribe, the agent that helps you write and reach out one person at a time, carries her name. The surname is also a quiet nod to our own founder, Day.

Findley The Matchmaker

John Findley is the man who told Daniel Boone about Kentucky and then guided him to it through the Cumberland Gap. He made the introduction that changed everything. The Matchmaker carries his name because the right introduction, at the right moment, opens a whole new country.

Filson The Social Voice

John Filson wrote the first published account of Daniel Boone and carried his name to the wider world. He is the reason a frontier hunter became a legend. The Social voice is named for him: the storyteller who takes what you have built and tells it to the world.

A seventh name waits in the wings: Henderson, for Richard Henderson, the dealmaker who chartered the push into Kentucky and hired Boone to open the road. He is reserved for the day Konexons adds a deal advisor.
